Whether making a corporate portrait, working on a documentary project, or creating personal work, my camera serves as a tool to foster connection, creativity, and understanding.

Portraiture
When creating portraits for clients — whether in environmental or studio settings — my intent is to merge both the person’s personality with the subject’s or company’s style. My affable yet professional approach fosters a warm and trusting atmosphere, resulting in a collaborative photo session and a portrait that reflects their genuine character.

Documentary I gather oral histories and create portraits to help amplify the voices of those living in marginalized communities. Without exception, their stories reveal a grace in which they live as they wade through their struggles and celebrate their triumphs. Providing a safe space and simply being present with each person are some of the most humbling and awe-inspiring aspects of my work as a photographer.

Fine Art I explore the interplay between humanity and nature, contemplating our profound connection with the fragile ecosystem that envelops us. Sometimes I use a toy camera, create my own lenses, or employ methods of producing photographic images without using a camera at all. When printing, I experiment with alternative processes such as photogravures and often print on handmade paper that I’ve crafted with cotton and various other natural elements reflecting the subjects I’ve photographed.
